I heart good mashups. But this felt....well...awkward. Like it was conceived after the fact and executed poorly. There was something missing in the overall tone of the mashup that didn't make it feel cohesive.

I'm trying to remember what that website was about 5 years ago that allowed random people to mash songs. Its was like mashup.fm or something like that. If you used a browser you could sign in and "DJ" for a bit and play epic mashups. And it was a ufckton of fun.

A buddy of mine and I are huge music nerds. And we're convinced that at any given time there are only 4 songs in existence at any given time. Now....those songs rotate at any given time. So for for any allotted amount of time you can sample, only 4 songs exist in this space.

This is a perfect example of that.

I'm willing to bet there is a common beat in all of it. But even if there's not, they could be any of the other 3 songs. Thats the fun thing about the logic. Is that it constantly changes. At any given time in the entire world there's only 4 songs. But in the next minutes, those 4 songs could be completely different.

The more music I listen to the more I tune in to EDM. I've always had a soft spot for it. And while there is new stuff in the Alt/Indie space that is fun and listenable, I keep coming back to EDM. Before I'm old and boring, I want to go to EDC.
