We're renting. The people that own the house want to sell it and move to California. So we needed to find somewhere else to go. Renting what we need in a house would easily cost double what we're paying in rent now. So we're buying a house (and Imma build me a badass garage) instead.

4bed 2bath ranch, on almost a half acre, in a really nice neighborhood. Needs the bathrooms and kitchen redone. Bad. And I'm gonna put a 30x30 garage in the back yard. Something tall enough to pull the truck into.

I'm sitting here patiently waiting to get approved for my apartment! i'm so nervous. i can't wait until i can buy a real house some day too =/ i just want a yard.

My wife and I are getting serious about starting a family. The house we rent now has terrible insulation and is overall not a good house to raise a baby in. We're exploring the possibility of moving in with her folks to save some money to buy a house or renting another place for a year or two then buying. Fun times

yeah, i'm obviously not going to be able to afford to buy until i'm married, or suddenly get an unexpected promotion. it's just me and the little guy, we've been living with my parents but the situation is just getting worse and worse so we're getting out ASAP. i really NEED more room than i can afford right now, but we can survive for a year until i can get something a little bigger. i dont want to rent for more than 5 years, esp with him going into 1st grade this fall and he already needs to switch schools. i hate that.

We have a few options right now luckily, but moving in with her parents is mostly our last resort. I'm really trying to not get anxiety over it, and I would be happy if we rented somewhere decent for a couple years.
