Alright Mac people.. (No, not you Mac..) I just picked up a refurb'd one and am trying to get myself accustomed to the format of it.. So far I am rather disappointed in the App Store and a few small other things that aren't worth the type, but I guess I am just not overwhelmed by it. Yet. Still leaving an opening for it, but may be putting it on the market if I can't make it cooperate.

What is your problem with it? What doesn't work right?

The app store does suck. And I don't use it unless necessary.

It isn't that it doesn't work right, it is that my PC brain doesn't like to cooperate with the Mac interface right now.

I was also in a good mood to write a paper last night (doesn't happen often) and I was absolutely thrown off that vibe by this Mac not even having any sort of word processor on it.. I mean, I only paid a fair sum and for that, I can't even type on it?

Windows doesn't come with more than a text editor either. You need a separate word processing program. M$ office is available for the Mac platform. A quick pirate Bay search will get you set up.

Just do yourself a favor, don't bother loading any of these Mac anti-virus programs. They're completely unnecessary and only take system resources. Also, go ahead and Max out the RAM. It'll make you and the machine happier.

Just finished up my annual evaluation. I understand there is a little bit of value in writting your own, but shouldn't it be written by those you work for? Does any other company out there do this? My only formal evaluation experience is with the Navy so I have no clue what the real world does. Except back in high school job where I would get a pat on the back and a 6 pack once in awhile for doing a good job haha, which was completely acceptable to me.

Reviewing yourself is awesome. I know I'm awesome. And any review I do of myself will reflect that. Heh. But srsly, that is pretty bizare.

In other news, why is it that this thread gets blown up when the baby oven is sitting right here giving me evil eyes for looking at my phone. But when she's sleeping or (in this case) studying for tomorrow, it's dead as hell in here.
