but at $2000 the wife might shoot me.
plus the install I would need to remove 4 of the 6 bed mount bolts and lift the bed just enough to remove the stock bumper

Got a questions regarding that bumper. The frame mounting points are 1/4” mild steel with the recover point being 1” steel. Welded to it. ( picture was taken from the install instructions )

other side of the frame mount


Then the rest of the bumper shell is bolted onto these frame mounts.

my question is are the shackle mounts more of a decoration or could they hold up in a recovery situation? Do t want to spend $2000 on a decoration
