Anyone else show up in here, this thread in particular, and immediately feel EXTREMELY happy we have a no politics talk rule?
The world is nuts out there. Imma close myself off in here with the whiskey machine, all these bean bag chairs and, apparently, the eSports legend.

i have a wiring question:
is there a solenoid that can take the amp draw of a winch that I can use as a battery cut off?
Would love to have it activate of the switches I have in the cab of the truck already do you know of anything that would handle that kind of amps?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000Y85RHE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_.e89FbQMZ35KQ
Something along these lines.
Oh. I am well aware of what can happenBought a Warn Ti-9.5 Hitch mount winch Straight Warn Factory. ( Knew a fellow I trained, that was a Warn engineer )
One thing about winches, he told me and it stuck. If Bumper mounted, Have kill switch. So unit is dead. Told me of Issues, People would take a Cable drape over roof attach to rear bumper. Insert a Paper clip into socket And walk off. Was not a pretty site.. Reason for Kill switch inside. Till its needed
And be safe with the winch.. They can fling cable and bust up a Human body..
here I am refusing to go outside when it is below 40FWell just got the hidden winch plate for the Silverado today.

Damn those things aren’t cheap@maillet282 found it
PAC PAC-500 500-Amp Relay Battery Isolator https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001YIPXR2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_ET89Fb3T5HJWQ
no it wasn't, but it lets me use a switch in the cab to kill power to it. A manual "switch type" battery isolator will be much cheaper I imagine.Damn those things aren’t cheap
Thats what I want. Looks like I will need to order one of those once the kitchen Reno’s are done.no it wasn't, but it lets me use a switch in the cab to kill power to it. A manual "switch type" battery isolator will be much cheaper I imagine.

I did a bumper swap in the snow, in January, in a campground parking lot.
Because @jsexton and I decided to swap bumpers. He lives in Ohio, I'm in PA. We were wheeling that weekend and decided to do the swap then. Why tho
Oh i would totally work in those conditions. All the more fun with someone to bitch about it with.Because @jsexton and I decided to swap bumpers. He lives in Ohio, I'm in PA. We were wheeling that weekend and decided to do the swap then.
That's what construction/shop heaters are for. I have one in the garage and have wrenched and done things when outside it is in the 20s. Inside it is in the mid to upper 60s.Exact same. All work stops in my shop (or anywhere) when its 42 or below. Just not doin it.
I supervised lolBecause @jsexton and I decided to swap bumpers. He lives in Ohio, I'm in PA. We were wheeling that weekend and decided to do the swap then.

I wish. I dont have a shop at home, so i have to rent one. Its cheap ($325 a month for a 40x40) but its cavernous and difficult to heat. Its basically two boat storages, that lived briefly as an RV repair shop, and now houses my junk. That's what construction/shop heaters are for. Oh imma do this. Thanks!https://www.utzsnacks.com/apps/bundles/bundle/3496
Voodoo, Voodoo heat, Crawtator, Dillsboro and evil eye. 5x each. Much good. Gonna threaten the kids with snacking punishment....
