stock side marker lights?

I have an issue with the side marker lights that were in the plastic bumper. I just put on a shrock and am going to switch the fixture. I have an led dot going in that place but the factory light bulbs and sockets were out for a while i guess. Funny, had an issue before with them shorting and taking out most of the dash and tail lights. The dash works and the fuses are all solid. I even spliced in above the plug on that line. turn the truck on and blinkers on and parking lights etc.... nothing. Led's work as well. what is my next step? are the led's not able to run off that current? kinda at a loss here.

Did you buy 12v LEDs or is it a simple led element you put across the 12v?

I'm confused. You're swapping the fixture out for what? I realize that a shock eliminates the stock corner makers. Are you trying to get them to blink w/ the signals?
