IT'S BACK!
After months of fighting my 3pack AAL and dealin with never ending shackle inversions, I've reverted back to my PML.
Will have to repaint those shackles when i paint the underside this weekend.
After measuring the eyes of the 3pack and the stock of the spring set, I found something Rey interesting.
The three pack set the eyes apart by 48.75" where as the stock pack sat at 49.50". Now I didn't think less and an inch would matter till I did a little more research.
48.75" angle
49.50" angle
This angle at full drop was causing my shackles to invert and this an annoying and terrible ride.
I opted to try addin in the smallest leaf from the 3pack to test the ride feel while hopefully fixing any sag. I'll run it for a wee or two and see how I like it.
QUESTION:
The fsm states that trucks manufactured before 3/02 must have units torqued to 80~ ft/lbs, where trucks manufactured after that date must be torqued to 35~ ft/lbs.
Mine was manufactured on 5/02 so I followed the latter. My worry is, does this sound right to you?
