Last week went wheelin and then all of a sudden everyone smelled gasoline. :( Found out the passenger rear overload leaf spun inward , came up and hit the tank. This dented the tank creating a small crack. Plugged it by rubbing the crack with a bar of soap. Its amazing how it sealed up the crack. A bar of soap will always be with me when I go out, could always help with someone else in the time of need. Its ben over a week and still holding. Since then I have siphoned out the gas to get it ready for fixing. I will be making some brackets to prevent the leaf from turning. If you have a LOA swap this could happen to you. My ubolts and brackets are tight, not sure why it spun.

How does soap work to fill the crack? Is it resistant to the solvent nature of the gas?
