Just did this today, and so far i am really happy with the results.
For this mod you need these things-> (i used 55 watt, 5000k) http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/101/
these ( or any kc/hella/pro comp light, i already had these kind)-> http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lighting...c=14&t_s=448&t_pt=4242&t_pl=1849&t_pn=EXP9160

The kit comes with 2 ballasts, and two bulbs. be careful not to touch the bulb, as the oils from your fingers will cause a hot spot on the bulb. Disassemble the light, simply unscrew the bulb, then screw in the new hid bulb. Mine was a direct replacement (h3 bulb type), i only had to open up the read of the housing to fit the wire connections out. The rest of it is pretty self explanatory as the HID will wire directly into the original harness for the aftermarket light. My pro comp harness worked perfectly and my HIDs wired exactly the same as the halogen bulbs. I mounted the ballasts underneath my ARB with zipties, and so far it is holding up just fine. Here are some comparison pics.

The HIDs definitely make a huge difference from the basic halogens, they also operate at a lower temperature and draw only 2 amps, much less than the halogens drew. I also like the color of the HIDs much more versus the halogens.

This is a nice and simple convert, from that it checks out on the website, it actually doesn't hurt the wallet a whole lot either. Nice! May be a future project for the 4 KC lights on my roof.

yea it was reallly easy. I have about 80 dollars total between the two lights and they are way brighter than my rigid duallys which cost me 160. I definitely recommend the conversion.

Nice, does that website sell converts for headlights as well? I wasn't able to browse it long enough....kind of procrastinating at work over here.

Nice! I might have to look into this for my roof lights soon. Looks like they also have a pretty good warranty process which leads me to think they're probably higher quality than some I've seen.

The warranty is nice on these, but i believe when you have to clip wires on the HID kit that the warranty becomes void, im not positive on that though. DDM is known for pretty high quality from what i have heard. And yes they do sell conversions for the headlights, i havent looked into them though.
