Oil leak

I noticed today when I got home from work that I have a small oil leak. I have not tried to trace it to the source yet because it was 8 am and was tired. What are some of the possible causes of the leak? Also is it something I should worry about now or can it wait to repair till spring when it is warmer outside.

Mine intermittently leaks a tiny bit a couple times a year, but never enough to drip down on my driveway. If it starts leaking a fair amount to the point where you need to put oil back into it, I'd look at replacing the seal.

My understanding is that it's a pain in the @ss to do and very time and labor consuming.
Ok I have another 50k before it is time to do my timing belt again. I will just keep an eye on it to make sure it does not get any worse.

Just watch it. When mine went the front crank seals were done as well. I was loosing a quart every 100 miles! That was a major leak.

Just keep a close eye on the consumption, we don't have a lot of reserve oil to begin with. Any seal on the front of the motor really is a timing belt job, with the time and effort involved to get to them it just makes sense to do it while you are there. If you do have a leak up there it will contaminate the old belt anyway.

the oil pressure sending unit, location beside the oil filter. When it leaks, it leaks onto the stearing control arm. throwing oil all around
