Odd Sound when Accelerating

Usually, when I accelerate, I hear this very odd noise. It sounds like a thin wire shaking, almost like one of those spring door stoppers but not as loud. Has anyone had this, or know what it could be? I'm sorry if I didnt describe it very well.

its your exhaust shield assuming you have the 1st gen, if u look under the engine from the front where the exhaust splits into two it has heat shields on each pipe in the beginning. it just gets rusty/or loose and it starts to rattle just take them of.

Alright! Thanks for the info, I'll check it out tomorrow when I do the stock intake mod. Will post again if that ends up not being it.

The heat shields make mods more of a buzzing sound, mine dies if.

My heat shield is loose and it makes more of a buzzing noise when I accelerate, all you need is a new clamp from lowes or something and make it super tight or take them off all tlgether

Gotcha, it might be the same sound, all I now is its getting worse, and its getting annoying. It's a mixture of a buzzing and like, metallic spring odd mumbo jumbo noise. I dont know. It just depends on if how hard im accelerating and whatnot.

If it kinda sounds like static, it might be your catalytic converter

It does sound very similar to that, Ill try to post a video up, but its so like, not quiet, but hard for me to capture it on video. Ill try and get back to you guys.

I just noticed I had this yesterday. Is there any negative factor when taking the heat shield off? Is it something easily fixed?
