Since I have been having issues with my front suspension after the last upgrade/mod did not go as I planned/expected, I have decided to officially start gathering parts for a Titan Swap.
So far:
  • I have started negotiations to pay a set of ProComp/Bilstein Tundra shocks with 610lbs FJ coils, with Nissan top hats.
  • I set my eyes on a set of Rough COuntry Titan UCAs, for $300, given that that is half the price for SPCs, which is what I run now on my X and my Frontier (neither one TS'ed)
  • I will purchase Inner and outer Titan tie rods from RockAuto.
  • Mevotech Stock LCAs also from Rock Auto.
  • The sway bar will not be replaced for a Titan one, it will be removed (at least that is what I plan to do so far)
  • Need to source the extended brake lines.
I already have a set of Rancho 9000 for sale, and will soon put up the OME with medium duty (480lbs) coils for sale.

And so the journey begins. Ordered parts from RockAuto, Z1 and Amazon, and everything but the brake lines is scheduled to get here today.
I still need to finish paying the ProComps but there is no rush. Yet.

I run with no sways, before and after the swap. Before it was pretty scary, afterwards it's just uncomfortable. Is this your daily?

Additionally, have you sourced an M205 for the swap, or are you going with the extended CVs?

I have no sway bar on the rear axle, better articulation. I will not have a sway in the front, at least for now.
And I am 2wd, so no CVs nor m205.

Still need to deal with the inner and outer tie rods, and the boots.
One of the LCAs came with a bolt for the ball joint and the other one didn't (both Mevotech), and when I removed the passenger side LCA, the bolt came out without a thread and I freaked out....and then I saw the bolt. The other one (driver side) did not have a replacement bolt but the bolt came out OK. I still ordered a replacement/new bolt just to be on the safe side.
