Does anybody know what's the name of the exhaust bracket shown on the pic attached? my Nissan Xterra 2003 exhaust hits the chassis and I can hear it when in idle. This is a pic I captured from an Xterra I saw parked near me once. Any guidance on this will be greatly appreciated!

That does not look familiar to me. There's nothing like that on my '01. Are you sure that picture is a 1st Gen?

@Bklyn.X, not sure what year is that Xterra I found in a public place that day, but mine looks like is missing exactly that part, and mine is a 2003 Xterra - this under the passenger side, towards the end of the tranny

Are you four or six cylinder? There are two different schematics. The schematic you posted looks like a 6, the link I posted was a 4 cylinder and your picture looks identical to the bracket for the 4 cylinder. If it's a 6, it looks like the Part number 20711P, that's right in the middle of the schematic you posted https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/par...=exhaust_cooling/exhaust_tube_muffler,,20711P . We could help you out a lot more, if you posted more information about your X.

it's a 6 cylinder, and I just re-checked mine and I'm missing the rubber piece along with the other part, I am attaching a pic how mine looks now.

heck I'm thinking of just removing that bracket so I won't hear metal with metal rubbing against each other and the vibration from it, no harm on that I guess right?

my lord! thanks for this info, really appreciate it.. I'll try my luck at a junk yard if not, I'll remove it -hopefully it comes off easily since those bolts tend to get rust with time and the heat.

I don’t know where you are but here in Brooklyn there are many shops that custom make exhaust systems. They frequently have parts lying about that they reuse and can probably cut/weld a hanger/isolator similar to the OEM one in a few minutes for a fraction of what that would cost new.

Unless you can find the OEM in a junk yard close by that might be worth investigating.
