My name is Steve. I live in Newnan, Ga and moving over to the off-road scene from the import scene. I've always had a strong love for cars thanks to my parents. I moved to Georgia from Utah and participated in a Jeep Jamboree in Moab with my father when he purchased a new (at the time) '99 Grand Cherokee with their Quadra-Drive system...you guys want to talk about a poorly built vehicle, buy a Jeep. lol. I can say I've enjoyed the Xterra thus far simply because you don't need CCW wheels, hella-shiat fitment, etc. It's all about enjoying what you own and having a good time with friends.
I purchased my first X this past February from a dealership in Houston during a trip to TX2K12 when my WRX experienced an engine fire and I unfortunately had to watch it burn to a crisp. I was originally looking for an FJ Cruiser but after riding in a customer's Xterra one day, I was rather impressed and decided to starting looking at what they're selling for. During my research, I came across an Atomic Orange one. I later found out that they only offered it in '03 so that made my final decision due to the color being more rare, if you will. Mine is an XE 4WD with a 5-spd manual.
The car isn't anything impressive to look at compared to the other builds but I'm slowly getting it prepped for nXm12. Below are the mods that I'm planning to have before the big gathering, simple but effective.
- Calmini 3" suspension lift
- Shockworks rock sliders
- Under armor
- 32x11.5 BFG MT KM2
- A rear locker of some sort.
Enough with the gibberish and on to the pictures.
Here is a picture I took only minutes after picking it up.

The day after getting back to Atlanta with it, I removed the side steps and mud flaps. It looked to feminine (no offense to the ladies on here). This picture was taken in the back of an undeveloped neighborhood.

This was taken this past weekend during a camping trip at Amicalola Falls in the N. Ga mountains. It was a blast but I shortly realized that I need better tires and a rear locker.
