Nice rig. That thing must be able to go through almost anything with those 35's and dual lockers.

How often do you find yourself using your front locker? What type of front shocks did you upgrade to from the SAWs? The Radflo 2.0s or 2.5s?

I have found the front locker to be quite helpful with the 35s and the lack of 4.10 or 4.54 gears for the R180. And to answer question 2, I went with the extended length Radflo 2.0 after the SAWs, not really an upgrade (though not really a downgrade either), but unfortunately I did not have the luxury of taking the SAWs off to get rebuilt, didn't have a spot to park the truck for a couple weeks while they got rebuilt (stupid short garage and hoa bylaws).

Ah ha, gotcha.
Yeah I can see how the locker would definitely help not put too much strain on the r180 on an obstacle. Since you're an OR MT you have 3.63 or 3.73 gearing? I can never keep track of all the differing gears out there.

I'm actually a S MT, so I have the 3.54 gears (so not terrible but no 3.69). I really don't have too many issues with most the stuff I run, and on the road I hardly even notice the bigger tires.

Thanks, been trying to make this a rig to be proud of. Funny thing about the color, when I was buying the truck I was actually looking for the Lava Red, but couldn't find it with a MT, so I got this one instead, but I actually like this red better now (was expecting Lava Red to be more orange, but in person looks more like a candy red).

In what capacity do you volunteer mountaineering time with your rig? I'm very intrigued and have thought about doing SAR uses with mine here.

The only time I volunteer with my rig is taking it off-road and getting dirty ;). I need to go online and do the training for the Colorado Trail Patrol (pretty much volunteers keeping their eyes open for folk who are being off-road idiots) and would like to get involved with Larimer County SAR, but I don't have the time for the annual training they have since it's essentially 20 hours per week in the evenings plus weekend field sessions for about 4 months, making it difficult to swing with a full time job.

^Ahaha, fair enough. That's about all I volunteer my rig for, too. Though I did tell our K9 unit they could use it for training whenever they want. Yeah, SAR does involve a crap-ton training. Someday...

Either way, I am very impressed with your build and love how clean and nice it looks.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. It's great to hear such support from my fellow Xterra owners, great feeling knowing that I'm not the only one who likes my X :bmmd:

What? Dude.

Congrats on the Jeep. But you didn't give us any warning! Or a chance to talk you out of it. Or a chance to pilfer stuff off your truck?

It was kinda a spur of the moment thing... I did get some of the stuff from the truck (will be posting FS soon), but most of the good stuff stayed on the truck, didn't have the energy to de-mod before trading.
