BRIAN! That looks amazing. I can't wait for tax time to finish mine (pay for the alignment and AAL).

Two questions-

1. What are the measurements now to the lip of the fenders?

2. What AAL did you wind up using?

BRAVO, GOOD SIR!

Got some mud flaps from another member over the weekend. Painted the rear ones and popped 'em on just before the storm.

Truck looks good man!

Did I miss something.. Why did you want the mud flaps back on?

So I can flap my mud, duh.

I actually never had any! And with all the snow we're having, I've been slinging it onto the hoods of cars behind me and I feel like a jerk. Adding the rears have helped a ton. Obviously I know that you lose out on articulation / ground clearance, but my drive to work has neither of those ;) I didn't put the fronts on because I don't think I'll be able to fully turn, but the rear ones are really all I need.

I occasionally think about how pissed off the people get behind me when I throw road spray at them. Fortunately in ABQ, we rarely get rain or snow so I don't have to think about it too often. It's a nice tail-gater deterrent though, people never ride my bumper in wet conditions

Front mud flaps have also been added! I expected them to rub but they don't, and my OCD tendencies have finally quieted down now that a complete set has been installed.

Also got my Trasharoo and ARB awning in. It's just about rooftop tent season :D

Jealous of that awning. I really wanted one of the Ironman4x4 awnings when we did the GB but I couldn't justify the need.

Thank you, thank you :)

Might have to move my alley lights around a little to mount it to the rail. Going to try to source some strong L-brackets today so I can tackle that.

Going as fast as I can!!

They offer one, but mine doesn't have them. I think I can position those alley lights to light up the area, so we'll see how that works out :)

Thanks Jim!

Still haven't figured out my awning setup yet...there are a ton of things to consider. The alley lights, the DepHep (to drill or not to drill?), the RTT and whether or not it will stay on the roof or move to a trailer. Yadda yadda yadda. As a temporary setup, it might get mounted directly to the DepHep, but I'm still trying to work out the measurements and such. Until then, I got a great deal on some Thule J-cradles. New kayaks soon and we'll be ready to roll. ‎

Finally got the awning mounted.

Metz, thanks for the suggestion. It worked out really well. Little messy at the moment, still need to clean it up a bit.

Hello, Nation! It’s been a while since I’ve updated this since my life got thrown the best kind of curveball. Turns out I’ll be having a little baby boy right around Thanksgiving, and my fiancé and I couldn’t be happier.

In preparation for that, the Terradactyl will be getting a Recaro car seat mod soon, along with some GG decals.

Because I have the extremely fortunate ability to drive our company vehicles every day, the ol’ ‘Dactyl will be garage-kept for a while, most likely until winter. Should help me save quite a bit on gas…this little guy more than doubles my MPGs!

Only have a few more small things left to do and I’ll be totally done building this thing. Can’t believe I’m 95% done. Good timing since I’ll be a little preoccupied this fall! It will essentially become the bug-out vehicle…it’s fully fueled, fully loaded with camp gear, etc. in case we want to do a spontaneous camping weekend. Or, ya know…zombies.
