In theory, they shift the power range (add intake length) and slightly insulate the upper plenum from the heat of the lower intake.

I own one, works well noticed a slight change in performance little more torque it felt like. Worth the $75 meh probably not. Basically I feel it shifted the torque to come on sooner at lower rpms. I've also noticed very slightly overall better engine performance on hot days.

My thing is this..when the valve cover gaskets get replaced, the intake is coming off, which is a perfect opportunity to slap one of these babies on there.

I'd do it, i beleive mine helped a bit... It certainly didn't hurt anything

I am. Intake is coming off only once, may as well.

I dunno what happened to that other site that you got yours from. I had it bookmarked, went to buy it, and it wasn't there anymore.

Yeah not a requirement though. Rather easy to install at a later point if you do chose to do so. The only negitive I've found so far is that the two plug wires can no longer be pinned in the upper intake manifold.

"Beliefs" and "feelings" are you hoping that you didn't waste your cash. Put it on a dyno before and after to see if there is a difference.
