Has anyone done this before? If so please post pics here I am thinking of making a skid for the front similar to this green one in the pic. I have some spare stainless sheet metal and thought it would look good.

I want to run it from where that ugly center plastic piece use to be in the stock bumper to maybe the first crossmember or something.

Please shoot me any ideas or thoughts I'm just brainstorming here after seeing a skip similar to it on the street earlier.

I like that. Except I'm doing it without a steel bumper. Or atleast until I can afford one that is.

I've thought about making one that attaches to the same points you mentioned. The way RLC bumpers are designed a skid isn't as necessary as with some others but it would help keep things from going up behind it and possibly taking out the a/c condenser and radiator.

On a side note, that's some pretty serious LCA angle on that Toyota.

Yeah thats what I was thinking because eventually I plan on getting the same bumper you're running.

Yeah it is pretty steep.

On another side note I saw your X parked near the road at your work the other day while I was working. I passed by in a big bud light truck.

Cool. You should stop in sometime if you have a chance. Although if you're driving that truck everyone is going to be overly excited when you pull in.
