Help me pick a size

So when I lift my X this spring I need to get my big boy shoes but cant decide what to get. I know I want the Nitto Trail Grapplers but cant decide if I want 285/70/17 or 295/70/17. What do yall suggest?

how much lift will you have, and type(s) of lift involved, stock wheels, and do you want to cut metal. 285/70 is roughly a 33x1150 equivalent, and 295/70 roughly a 33x1250. both are going to be slightly smaller than 33 (even 33's are generally smaller than 33)

You will need wheel adapters if you go with the 295 because they will rub with the front away bars when turning. If you get the 295 and add the adapters you will most likely have to trim some front fenders. Also, the bigger the tire the more mpgs it will take to move your truck

Ill be the normal 5" (3" SL and 2" BL) on my rockstars. and NMterra ran 295s with 4" of lift and had to just trim but I wondering what would be more beneficial.

do you know the backspacing on your wheels? That will make the biggest difference as to whether you will end up cutting or not, or at least how much.
