Old? I've probably got Def Leppard, GNR and Metallica shirts older than you!
Hahaha in 1991 I was a JR in high school

My 1st show at Starwood was Metallica 1989 7th row... Was just mind blowing..
My last Show was ZZ Top 2002 or 03
I am a TOOL whore so I would probably have to go with tool. I saw them right after 10,000 Days came out and it was a pretty epic show. However I wasnt very impressed with the opening band called "melt banana". However at the end of the show the two drummers had a drum off of sorts which was very amusing to say the least. Danny Carey has a beast of a drum set and could fill up an entire room with it. The other drummer had a tiny set, like 4 pieces maybe 5. Danny would play some long technical piece and the other drummer would just retaliate with some fast almost punkish kind of drumming that faintly resembled what Danney played, or atleast to the best of his ability with such a tiny set.
Second best show I have probably seen was a band called Stabbing Westward. They had a few hits in the late 90's, but I still like their music. I saw them sometime around 95 at a free concert for a 4th of July and was very impressed, and saw them a few more times after that. Always lots of energy at the shows.
Best show in recent history - Aerosmith a few years back here in Chattanooga (Nine Lives tour) Best experience at a show - Kansas in 1983 in Birmingham (I'm old!) (Old friend of mine was good friends with the band and we spent quite a bit of time with them after the show) Most fun - Mother's Finest around '79 in Clearwater Beach, Fl (told you I'm old) (outdoor show that had a rain delay and mudpit afterwards...I might have been slightly under the influence...) Best show I wish I could remember - Queen at the Omni in Atlanta in '81 (pretty wasted when we got there and drank all thru the show..:tears2:....did stab my eye with a swizzle stick though...)
About 3 years or so ago I saw Devildriver in Orlando. They had Goatwhore open for them. Such an awesome show, place was packed. That is also where I decided that I wanted to date my GF whom I'm still with today! Nothing says I love you like Death Metal.
I've seen Tool as well. Hands down the worst show I've ever been to. I was in the pit for the whole show. Instead of rocking out the entire pit just stood there and watched the video screens that were, essentially, just showing music videos while Maynard and the rest of the band stood in the shadows and played. Absolutely zero stage presence.
The Human Abstract and All That Remains a few years ago. My first time I ever heard of ATR.

I think their vocalist suffered from what the vocalists of bring me the horizon, avenged sevenfold and bullet for my valentine all suffered: screwed up vocal chords from screaming so hard. avenged sevenfold's vocalist puked blood on the stage a few years ago, so their style changed. so, it wouldn't surprise me if ATR kept the same vocalist and just slightly altered their style to be a little softer kind of like avenged sevenfold did. It's a shame ATR is no more. Unless they found a new vocalist?

Last I heard atr's singer became the new lead for suicide silence since Mitch lucker passed. That's what I was referring to.

I dont think you could replace Mitch..his vocals were one of a kind. I used to be a huge ATR and Avenged fan but since they have started making softer music, I just cant listen to them anymore. Too many bands sound the same these days. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
