Spill. Tell me your feelings.
I thought it was thoroughly enjoyable. A bit soft and squishy. And a really good way to end the contracts of two of the core people to the franchise.
It was a completely unique story as far as the details go But that's OK. The movie was really good for what it was intended to do.
A few characters will continue the MCU. That's what matters.
Okay here are my thoughts.
It was long as hell and could have been condensed. Did not like the direction they took the hulk in. Hipster non smash hulk is stupid. We deserved a full battle with him. And, if you notice, he is barely larger than any other character. We did not get a full rematch with Thanos and a bad ass hulk, but I wish we did.
I hate to do this, but I will. I thought they spent entirely too much time energy and effort to set up the future of the MCU as female led. Thor is a fat lazy slob, never recaptures his mojo completely, and passes it off to whats her face, Pepper Potts (probably Tonys daughter really) will be the new iron man, you see the female avengers assemble in the scene where they have to "help" spiderman (which also makes no sense. That guy is strong as shiat).
Everyones failing until Capt Marvel shows up and saves the day. Really? Meh.
Im all about a new direction, no issue with female characters at all. Just seemed they spent a lot of energy on that. Why couldnt Thor be a ufckin bad ass after he met with his mom? He gets ufckin handled by Thanos, but then Scarlet Witch handles his ass with ease.
I get the Iron Man / Captain American exit. Not sure why it would automatically go to Falcon (other than for the sake of diversity) when it clearly should be Winter Solider, but I get that part too I suppose. I like the Falcon character, and he was Capt America in the comics a time or two.
I will for the sake of this post ignore glaring plot holes, but over all I thought it a decent and fitting end to the MCU as we know it. I'm excited to see what happens next, mostly.
