Its further west and in the clear for now. This part of the state hasn't been hit by the pine beetle hard, yet, and is wetter than the south front range where the fires are now.And I am only on thenewx because that was where I found CO trips were planned, that and on Ronin Wheelers.

I follow you man. We make trips to Creede, CO every so often and I know that they closed part of highway 149 near there. I'm glad to hear not all of CO has been hit hard.

If we do Hancock Pass, we will be able to see if Tomichi Pass is open. If so, then we can do it and head south to US 50 & Old Monarch Pass.

On Grizzly Lake, the hardest part is at the beginning. Its a fun in & out trail.

Pomeroy Lake is mostly rutted dirt with a nice historic mine near the beginning to check out and get some good photos.

Tin Cup Pass (if open) leads to the Taylor Basin and can loop to Hancock Pass.

^ Yes, what Bill said. I casually mentioned this outing to my physical therapist today. He basically told me not to do it. :(
Hopefully, next week. If not next weekend then the Wheel and Wield for sure! I have an itchy trigger finger!

BTW, is anyone camping this weekend?
