Checking Tranny Fluid

How do you check it? I know some cars have you warm the car up and shift it into neutral. Didnt know if this was the same or if it differed.

Check the dipstick it's near the firewall on the passenger side it has a mark for cold and hot reading

I know that but figured it couldnt be in gear for it to be checked properly.

Best is to warm up the tranny, work all the gears, then check it with it running, in park, on a level surface. The tranny will take longer to warm up than the engine.

Thanks Deeb, turned out I was a little bit low. Thats why ive been slipping gears for the past day or so. Or lets hope that was the reason..
