Broke the Main Leaf spring LR.

Hi All,

Looking for some recommendation for a new set of leaf springs for my 2002 X. Or a recommendation for a Shop in the Toronto area.
I replaced a single leaf two years ago but think this time I better replace the set. Snapped right at the axle as I was turning into the gas station. Thank goodness I was going slow.

If you look at Reavers build, itʻs a 2002 and he has done leaf spring replacements. Just curious as to how much off roading your X has done that would weaken the leaf springs so much. Mine seem fine on the originals with a fair amount of moderate 4wd. But I donʻt drive it super fast or anything. Good luck.

No off roading for my X. Most likely the salt we deal with up here. Also have to consider the age now at 22 years.

the leafs on these things break all the time, or maybe its just that they're 20+ years old now

back in the day nisstec offered deavers but they're since gone, pretty sure rockauto gonna be your best bet

You might be able to contact Deaver directly. Or there's always Alcan for replacement packs.

I got my stock replacements from General Spring KC. Very happy with the purchase, when Fed Ex lost one they sent me another without issue. If you need replacements I highly recommend them. Glad to answer any questions.

Are there any signs you should replace the leaf springs? Mine look fine and car has little rust but this has got me thinking….

Mine were sagging pretty badly, and it seemed that when I took off from a stop the rear end sank down more than it should. The old man who owned mine before me hauled a small boat and camper behind it, and I think they were weak.

New springs and bilstiens, and I feel good as new.
