What are you using as a guide to rebuild your d44?
Are you running the 44044 Spring under? When do you plan on cutting stuff out?
Gathered all of the parts I have in the garage together (and cleaned it) to begin reassembly tomorrow.
First thing is to go get a 1/4 NPT tap to do the bulkhead fitting.... View attachment 10557
Old post is old, but...
What kind of plumber doesn't have 1/4npt tap???
Now the issue. We are currently thinking of a remedy. When the back end is on a hill and weight is shifted to the front driver. I got some steering issues View attachment 15151
I ordered a flat pitman arm to see if it will fix the issue
Nice man! If you don't mind me asking, what was your total cost on this? This is exactly what I want to eventually do to mine. I've decided to forgo doing the IFS lift In favor of SAS down the road (for durability/simplicity's sake in the long run). I'll have to go back and re-read the whole thread so I can get a list of parts together.
Looking good! Is there room to move the steering box forward if the new pitman arm doesn't do the trick? Looks like there might be enough but it's tight.
