The local club I am a member of (Idaho Off Road) is hosting the biggest off road event in Idaho this year (we have done it in the past as well).
Location: Yellow Pine, ID
When: July 18-21, 2013 (Thurs-Sun)
What:
Link: http://northwest-mountain-rally.org/news/IOR%20NWMR%20News%202013%20January.htm
Expected 100-150 rigs and about 300 people.
I would LOVE to not be the only Xterra (or Nissan, really) there. Please think about coming if you are not too far away. I have friends from Spokane, WA that go to this yearly. I had a blast last year and many Jeepers were highly impressed with the X's performance. Just imagine if there were multiple bada$$ X's there to show off!
I tent camped last year. But there are limited RV hookup spots as well. Some of the campgrounds are in very beautiful locations along the Middle Fork river.
If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. I will update this thread as I get more info from my club.

Idaho Off-road 4x4 Club
3rd Annual Northwest Mountain Rally
At Yellow PinE—July 18-21, 2013
The dates are set; the crowd will gather in Yellow Pine, Idaho on July 18th, 2013 for 4 days and 3 nights of socializing, prize winning, and off-roading.
Last year’s event was a huge success. It was focused on the club and building the needed support to host a bigger event. For 2013, we are modeling after our 1st event with regional advertising, vendor support, and planned off-road adventures.

IOR Hosts 3rd Annual Event
January 2013 Update
You Won’t Go Hungry At This Event
Omelets, hamburgers, roast beast, and all of the fixings will keep you filled between runs. You’ll need to bring something for your lunches, but the rest of your meals are included in the price of admission.
You’ll get dinner on the check-in day (18th), breakfast and dinner on run days (19th and 20th), and breakfast before leaving on the check-out day (21st). On the 20th, you’ll be spoiled with a roast beast dinner. In past years, this has been prime rib roast, it will probably be the same this year.
The price for this event hasn’t been set yet. The price will be a per rig price. This means, fill your rig (ok, not a bus or RV) with your people, and they’ll all eat for the price of registration. As a guide, the registration will be less than $100. So, don’t worry about breaking the bank!
Yes, that’s less than $100 to feed everyone in your rig!
Over 80 pounds of Roast Beast from the big dinner
You won’t need your rock crawling buggy for the trails in this area, but aggressive tires and a patient foot will lead you through streams, over logs, and through patches of snow to mountain top vistas, old mining cities, and a sea of red rock.
The harsh winters and occasional firestorms in this area constantly change the landscape. Each time we visit an old mine or mining town, there is a new opportunity or challenge. Our pre-runs specifically avoid clearing most obstacles to ensure challenging trails.
On most trails, you’ll pass through hilltop vistas that will beg you to pull out your camera. At the same time, you’ll be watching your step to avoid falling off of the cliffs.
Trails Offer Challenges, Views Are Amazing
If you’d like to be a sponsor of this year’s event, please read to the end of the message for more information.
Sponsors Needed
Camping and Some Lodging Are Available
The event is base camped at the Alpine Village which is about ¼ mile Northeast of downtown. There are 3-4 buildings with nearly 60 beds that will be available for rent (at about $15 per bed per night) once the registration price is set. There are a few RV hook-ups, but we don’t have confirmation on a count yet. Also, there is ample tent camping available on-site.
For those who wish to be a bit further from the hustle and bustle of the main site, there are a few room rentals in town that can be booked on your own. Additionally, there is a large area in town that can be used for campers who wish to be in town.
Yet, most campers will probably choose one of the two Forest Service campgrounds along Johnson Creek. These locations offer flat ground, toilets, and a bit more quietness than the host location.
All of these details will be in the next update.
Yellow Pine is a small town with lots of camping nearby
We Need Your Support To Make This Successful
We’d like to thank our many sponsors from prior events. (See complete list below.)
This year’s event is expected to host 100 to 125 rigs with over 300 people in attendance. This is the largest event of its kind in the State of Idaho and has drawn drivers from Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Nevada.
We are looking for donations of products or services, sponsorship of a meal(s), volunteer time, or just good old cash. We have a committee that will be reaching out to many of our prior sponsors and searching for new ones; yet, if you don’t want to wait for us to find you, please contact us by e-mail at rally@idaho4x4.com or call Christian Dahlström @ 208-806-1403.
