after hours of cussing and yelling and some blood loss and tools being thrown, I got my PRG UCAS installed, what a pain in the ass, I can do a write up of what to do and what not to do, If people would be so inclined. However i have no photos except maybe a finished photo. This is something that doesnt warrant photos in it as its pretty simple just tough as hell unless youre the incredible hulk.

i doubt ill be hitting red trails any time soon, more so due to my lacking experience than the truck not being able to handle such things. Maybe if i get out more often, theres a some reno frontiers that get out pretty regularly, and seem pretty friendly.

I overdid it a little last year, somewhat as a function of signing up late and not having a lot of options. But it was definitely fun. Flatiron mesa was a blast and totally doable. Kane Creek was fun until I broke my motor mount...but that trail was def. a test.

This year I think I'll try to mix it up more, but I want to do one or two red trails - Steel Bender and Poison Spider Mesa. Right now thinking Fins, Steel Bender, Strike Ravine, Hells, Poison Spider

Yeah I hear ya, I'm kind if on the fence on what to do lots of trails sound like fun, almost feel like I need 2 weeks then we could take it easy and do anything we felt up to, sadly I don't have that kind of vacation

Done with top of the world though...too many rigs, not enough fun stuff on the trail. I would totally do flatiron again, and it didn't present anything that would harm the truck. Highly recommend. Kane Creek is going to have to wait for round 2 until I have the rear locked...

Yeah I'm done with top of the world as well, at least in that large of a group that thing felt like days, as much as I'd love to have a photo of my truck on the ledge. We were up there too long.

^Agree 100%. That's why I'm not going to do it again next year. That trail was my least favourite. Felt more like torture at times b/c it took so dang long.

Ive been thinking about Strike Ravine, too. Thought I'd mix it up with some reds and blues this coming year. Def wanna do Poison Spider Mesa (that's the one on Fri, right?).

So Joe, how's you end up getting the X out of your garage?

Deflated the tires down to 15 psi, tossed the dogs in the back, and made kels hang off the gobi, then as i backed up she said i have like 3" of clearance, and promptly hopped off. I measured prior to deflating and was very pessimistic i was going to make it, so i was thinking i needed all the extra help i could get. But once aired down no problems, getting the tjms installed and an alignment tomorrow!Whoo! Pics to come!

Did a small amount of exploring i was low on gas so we didn't get to faraway from safety, being where I live a stones throw from the desert.

well Im in the high desert, elevations about 4500' so for winter we get snow usually in the am and by noon its gone, Somedays like today it stuck around all day and is trying to snow again. My first winter here it snowed 2 feet and stuck around for a few weeks, and i thought itd be like that every year, no such luck, its a bit of snow here and there sometimes we get some and it will stick around a day or so, no real reason to shovel.

What you cant see in that photo is the mountain in the background it just looks white, winter storm here for a bit, im stoked, other are pissed.

Not only a great gift, but also prevents her from future complaints about mods you purchase!
