So I've got the 2.5" Rancho lift on my 01 Xterra XE. I installed it mid-Oct.
It required new upper ball joints, which I purchased for the lift, and noticed only a couple weeks later that both sides were shot. All the grease was coming out, and continues to leak out horribly.
1st question: Does anybody know which ball joints work with that lift?? I know I originally got the MOOG ball joints. I torqued everything to specs and there were no problems that I could see. But both are totally useless now and I can't seem to find a list of ball joints that will work with that lift.
2nd question: I've noticed a clanking whenever I make sharp turns, almost like a pop, and can feel it too. Sometimes it acts like its in 4wd (hard making sharp turns). Could this be the ball joints also??? Does this cause a shimmy at highway speeds too?
