We have spent a lot of time working on the 2nd Gen rock sliders in the past couple weeks. We were really unhappy with the traditional mounts used by many other companies. We know a lot of people hate the idea of drilling into the frame of the vehicle, and in many circumstances, we do it. So we reconfigured our 2nd Gen Brackets. The require NO drilling of the frame, no modifications at all to fit up. And we came up with a way to incorporate a feature of our 1st Gen brackets. This new bracket design will work with Standard or Body Lifted trucks, out of the box. So you will be able to use these no matter what you decide to do with your truck in the future.
We did not incorporate the common wing that wraps under the frame on the front bracket. Additionally our front and middle bracket use a single 16mm diameter bolt placed in double sheer, sleeved inside a thick wall high strength steel pin. And because the GenII frame is taller than the GenI frame only the front bracket hangs below the frame, and not by much ~1/2"
The rear mounting bracket utilizes factory 10mm threaded holes under the body mount damper. The provided bolts will be long enough to attach that piece back on over the top of your slider bracket if you choose.
Legs will be gusseted and corners will be rounded.
And, yea, we got a GenII frame as a jig as well!:zomg:
