I think the only time that would ever be offered from Nissan would be if you took over the company. Im all for it, but i have a feeling they're going to "pussify" the xterra if they do make a 3rd gen
We I hate to post this but I have been informed that there will be no Xterra in 2015.
Government CAFE BS is forcing Nissan like many other Auto makers to kill any car or truck that doesnt help meet the federal
MPG standards. I guess the 16-20MPGs the Xterra hit doesnt help that 30s the company needs to reach.
Not looking great for the Frontier either... Sad times..

No Xterra, or no new Xterra?
No sh&t. Buy one while you still can.Sadface. Oh well. All the more reason to talk my wife into getting a new Pro4X
Which vehicles are made there? Titan, X, Fronty...

Which begs the question: Why move the Xterra to Canton, only to kill it a year later? How does that make business sense?
Armada has become a large soccer mom mobile, so as long as they buy them, tricked out to the nth degree, it'll stick around.
As much as I fully expect to be pummeled for suggesting it, a hybrid power plant in an Xterra would result in a boost in fuel economy. And as long as they were able to mate it to a petrol engine that still made over 200bhp it wouldn't be any worse off in the power department.
As a rule, aren't the gas mileage ratings imposed by the government an average over the entire model line that a manufacturer produces? IOW, the more hybrids and higher MPG performing petrols that a company makes, it gives them leeway to make a big fuel hungry truck or two and still be above average.
Maybe we could talk them into putting recharging stations at Off Road Parks.
What's that jerrycan gonna look like?
So...if you can't get an Xterra or Fronty in the future, what would you drive? I think all that's left that isn't Wrangler (which is rumored to be going IFS) is a Taco. Forget the 4Runner, that thing was Pathfinder'd long ago. We could put some faith in the 2015 Land Rover Defender, but...well, go look it up for yourself. I'd rather be caught in a Grand Cherokee.
