Since I do not know Gen 2s well.. YET!
Are the Titan lug patterns the same as the Xterra?

I seen these on a killer blacked out Titan w/ BFG KO's

Only issue is they are 17" and tires are much more expensive

Yea, Gen 1's can fit it, but they have to be bored out to fit around the hubs Gen 2's are 6 x 4.5. Titan 6 x 5.5 (Same as Chevy/Toyota) If you want to fit those, you will have to get wheel adapters or go full blown titan swap.

Here's the adapters I used: I had to get skinny, longer lugs but just make sure you secure them correctly.

I dont think you need to TS it to run 35s.. If I were to TS it, It would be like Bills.. Im not a fan of the wheels sticking out so far

Iirc. You can Titan swap and use pathy half shafts to keep the stock tire width

Yep. The half-shafts have to be from a V8 Pathy, and they are pricey, but you also don't have to buy Titan UCAs/LCAs, extended length shocks, or extended tie rods. You can keep the stock suspension and swap out only the diff and half-shafts that way. The advantages to that is keeping the stock track width and far less work for the swap; the disadvantages are that you don't get the extra travel from the Titan control arms, and the V8 Pathfinder half-shaft are really expensive new, and hard to find in salvage yards.

Bought an X
youmwill have to widen the stance some to stop frame rub to run 35s but you really only need a 1in adapter but you will have to cut your original lugs. or you could go with bigger offset rims like procomps amd not need adapters. but you dont need a titan swap. im going to run 36s with 2.5 suspension and 3in body when i install it

I think its the procomp 7089 that i see on gen2's alot.

I am looking to run 255/85/r16 on factory steelies with my calmini 5" lift. I am not expecting any rubbing, anybody know otherwise?

to go bigger than 33's on a 2nd gen, you have to do one or more of the following.

Body Lift
Drop Bracket
Fender Cutting

the reason you have to choose from one of the above three isn't that you need more height to run the taller tires, you have to get the body up to clear the added height for the tires. 33's stuff fine, 35's you need about an extra inch of up-travel to keep from making a lot of contact, if ya switch to a 2" body lift or trim fenders, or, you can do a 2" drop bracket which will be 2" of up travel gained, while increasing ride height by 2", however, you'll have to worry about catching that bracket and your diff on the rocks because now it hangs 2" lower than it did previously (and is a spot to get hung up on now, instead of being flush like not having it)

also, to get your 17" tires cheaper, look at the 33x12.50R17, 35x12.50R17 and other non-metric sized tires, they'll run cheaper....a little...
