My 2003 has a new cap and rotor, spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, starter, etc. It will crank over easily in the cold, but after it gets warm, like running to the store and returning to the car, it sometimes takes a couple of cranks to make it go. My guess is that distributor gear is worn? It was 295,000 miles on her. The distributor was replaced with around 160,000 miles the last time. Looking for input

Also, how old is your battery? Recently, my sisters car was exhibiting similar symptoms and battery was found to not be putting out the cranking amps it should and was on its way out. Replaced it, back to normal.

But if it only happens when warm, I'd wonder about that distributor too.

I still have issues; it takes a few cranks before it turns over. For example, I am driving 27 miles and going into Walmart for 10 mins. The car fights me a bit to crank over.

When you say "crank over" do you mean the starter isn't spinning, the starter is spinning but not engaging the flywheel/flexplate, the starter engages the flywheel/flexolate but the engine doesn't turn, or the starter is freely turning the engine over but the engine won't start?
