Question about adding OME Dakar Leaf Springs

After looking and looking I'm going to break down and ask some noobtastic questions...

I have a 2005 Xterra SE with TJM/Bilstein Lift Kit heavy in the the front and currently using 2" adjustable shackles with 6253 bilstein shocks in the back.


I need to get new leaf springs because mine are broken and want to purchase the Old Man Emu CS061R Dakar Rear Leaf Springs.

What else would I need to make them work and what would I use to be appropriately lifted in the front after I put the Dakar's on?

Should I still use the adjustable shackles with the leaf springs or would that be too much lift for the angle of the diff?

Just a heads up, OME are on back order. However Nisstec is running a special on Alcans. I would give Chris at Nisstec a call and he will help you out.

I am currently running the OME Dakar leaf pack with adjustable shackles in the rear and the stock "coilover" with spacers up front. I have the shackles set to the lowest level, the leaf springs with a 3degree shim. bought everything from Nisstech. I do know that there is a nation wide backorder for the OMD leaf springs. Might want to check on availability

Thanks for the heads up on them being on backorder. I will have to give them a call and find out what kind of deal they are doing for the Alcans. I would really rather have them, but cannot fork out $700 right now.

They have sag and one leaf on both sides actually broke off before the pack.

I got the same OME Darkar Leafs and I didn't need the shims, I do know you will need longer U-Bolts. The factory ones aren't long enough.

I got the shims just in case, since shipping to Canada takes a bit of time, didn't want to have my x out of commission for more then it had to. turns out since I also added longer shackles I needed the shims. some people need them some don't
