No power

OK. This one has me stumped. I was on my way back from a 10 day offroad camping trip and all was going good. Pulled into a rest stop and shut down. Went to go start and nothing, totaly dead. Tried jumping it and nothing. Finally got a pull start and it started right up. Everyting worked fine for the 6 hr drive home, I just didnt shut it off. Got home and again after i shut the engine off every thing is stone dead exept for the head lights. They still work but nothing else, not the window, locks or dash guages. Battery tests good. Any help would be great.

How do the cables look? Tight?

If you've got a good charge on the battery (which I'm assuming you do because the headlights work) my suspect would be the starter or something related.

It not just the starter that is dead, All the electronics are dead. locks, windows, dash, radio, outlets. but once running they all work. And yes battery is good.

Then it has to be a wiring issue at the battery. You've got several heavy gauge cables that come from there that feed the different systems.

Found it. Power wire pulled out of the the crimped end but not out of the heat shrink. Probably started to pull loose when my motor mounts failed, and finally lost contact after 10 days of back road driving. So going to replace/upgrade the power and ground cables.
