No power.

This past Saturday I plugged in my cell charger in to the rear(hatch area) 12V socket and discovered there is no power coming from it. I tried looking for the fuse at the fuse panel and didn't see it. Anyone have this problem before?

I had the exact same problem. I forgot which fuse it was (under the hood), but I found it to be shot. Popped a new one in and it was good as new.

Blown fuse it was. I guess it blew out with the previous owner. I never tried to use it till this past weekend. Thanks for the help everyone.

I had the same issue, but the fuse was good and the outlet was plugged in. I tested the leads and the socket for continuity and found that it wasn't passing power from the leads to the socket. Something internal broke. I just replaced the whole plug with an pep boys special and all works now.

The one on the dash is acting up were you must twist the plug-in to the sweet spot to get power. I guess for a 12 year old truck, some wear failures happen.

This happened to mine.. the little pressure clips that hold the plug to the socket had no springback.. meaning the plug would be somewhat loose.. so when you turned the accessory it would turn the socket some and bind the wires i guess and make it work lol.

I ended up cutting the plug off and using it for the power/ground for my CB
