Nisstec Sliders Review

I ordered the sliders from Nisstec, and had them welded on by a shop (don't know how to do it), so I never bolted them on. I'll tell you, having a shop weld them on is super easy. Step 1, take it to shop; Step 2, shop welds on sliders; Step 3, leave shop about 2 hours later with sliders welded on, and wallet a little lighter (cost me about $190, which SUCKED, but I wanted them on before my trip to Western NC and this was the only place that was close enough to me that I could trust to do this work right).

The only thing I don't like is I wish they were about 1-2" longer so they would cover more of the edge of the rocker panel.

Things I do like about them are there is more than enough room for them to act as a step, very durable (VERY tough), $450 shipped with the hardware (which I never used) and powdercoating, and the slopped edges on the ends to allow them to fit more snug to the Xterra.

Would I recommend them to others on the forum? Absolutely. Do I think they are better than any other slider? No, I think these are almost the same as every other slider out there, just their own "flavor". The sliders that I've seen that I like the most are Xoskel, but I don't see where he's really selling them, so this fit the bill, the need, and the want. I'm very happy with my purchase; NOT very happy with the fact that I EFFED up putting on the window sticker, so it had to be removed. I will be contacting them to get 2 NISSTEC stickers...

Nice review, I think you did the right thing by welding these. I have the same feelings on the sliders. They are good looking stout sliders. I think the bolt on option with all of the drilling is not a good option, so I had them welded on too, but it was free for me :)
