Hello,
Wanted to say thanks up front for all the great info I've gotten already, but all things must eventually end and in this case it'll be me needing to ask more specific questions to my own vehicle.
I have a 2002 xe 4wd 3.3L NA with 4.9 gears out back. Running it "bald" with the roof rack, side steps, and mud flaps removed. Cranked the torsion bars up, and installed some adjustable shackles out back. 265/75R16 Dakota AT tires on stock rims(no trimming needed). Added some extra first aid supplies, and unfortunately had to use them on someone else already. Always kept a IFAC in every vehicle I owned anyway, but the additional supplies for ore mundane injuries is nice to have. Removed the resonators from the intake, installed a cloth air cleaner, and a gibson exhaust.
Solved a breaking issue by pulling the ABS fuse. Was so excited when I found out I could get rid of that, the ice and snow up north make it more of a liability than anything.
Running a Alpine head unit, 445U amp, and JBL GTO speakers. No sub yet, and not happy with my A-pillar tweeters.
Curently burning the check engine light. I'll have to look into that later.
Bought some green monstaliner in hopes of someday painting the whole thing.
Bought a 2"BL never installed it...
I'm a pipefitter by trade and active in veteran groups. love keeping things simple, and its reflected by my collection of my not quite on the road bikes.(priorities are elsewhere, I need a new chimney on the house) The Xterra is primarily a road vehicle, I have a 1985 CUCV lifted with a full 3/4 ton conversion I like to run over trees with. Not huge on mud bogs, I'de rather hit a trail and bounce some steel off trees through a forest.
I have not enough time, or money to do everything I want, so it all has to come as I can make it happen while budgeting myself.
I'll probably start a build thread to act as a think tank for any problems or issues I have along the way.
