Ignition switch?

Hello everyone I wanted to ask, because a search did not get me anywhere, will a faulty ignition switch cause the ignition fuse to blow in the engine bay. I have pulled the fuse and it is getting 12v even with the key out and ignition off. The only way I can get it to not have power at the fuse terminal is to disconnect the ignition on the steering column. I checked the fuse boxes and their grounds. New switch is on order but the ignition fuse has been a pain to get. The dealer wants $38 for a fuse?! Help identifying the type of fuse is appreciated. Thanks.

Well thanks for all of your help dudes got it figured out I had a defective ignition relay. On the plus side I traced all of the grounds and secured/re-did them. Also not that it matters but the ignition relay is on the back of the fuse panel under the d/s dash.

Yeah I could find anyone that had a similar issue. I just went through all of the wiring from the engine bay fuse box into the cabin fuse box. All of the wires were fine I found no shorts to ground or cut wires so I replaced with a "new" relay. Now if can start the x but my dash lights don't always come on when I turn on the headlights. I can deal with that, 225000 miles I know it's just "old truck problems"
