Heard an Exhaust Rattle found this.

Where the rattle came from

And then I found this rattling around between the heat shielding and exhaust piping
(thank you creepy for providing a perfect white contrasting background )

This was between the heat shielding and exhaust pipe

WHAT IS IT!?
looks like some sort of bracket because it it bent to the radius of the piping and has what looks like 2 slots for bolts to secure it down.

I heard it while accelerating from a stop while turning right or left sounded like a bean in a tin can lol
also made it do the noise while parked in drive and turning wheel BARELY right then BARELY left just enough to up my RPMs slightly

I'd just rip it off and be done with it

well I mean the heat shield doesn't look bad but I want to know what that piece was that I pulled from between there. It was just free moving in there

It looks to be whats left of an exhaust clamp of some sort.. it probably used to be bolted under the shield where you've got the red circle in the second pic

I've had the same issue and that's what it looks like to me. An old clamp.

I just went to Ace and bought a couple of new clamps to replace the old ones and everything was back to new, well.... for a while. So I plan on looking into taking them all off now.

I have had the same problem. You take one off and go a while and the next starts to rattle. I couldnt have too many left under there now.
