I bought 2002 used w/122K, 5 speed V6 knowing the clutch was an issue. I can hear the throwout bearing moaning and clutch position sort of wanders from just off the floor to midway up (when it warms up). Anyway, to my question. When I replace clutch/pressure plate/bearing should I also replace clutch master & slave? They are not leaking but they might blow when all new stuff is installed???

They are both easily accessible with the transmission in or out of the truck. If your fluid level is dropping, if you see leaks anywhere. Master usually leaks under the floor mats on the inside. Use a flashlight and inspect the rubbers at the petal for dampness. Mine is a 2001 191,900miles still no problems with the slave or master cylinders. On my nissan pickup (same exact cylinders) I replaced both at around 210,000 miles. They continually went out after that the aftermarket ones at parts stores are garbage.

I'd fix the clutch then if the problem still occurs address it as nessisary after the fact. Could save some coin.
