Front sway bar bolt

Put my extra fancy deluxe ultra-low profile bump stops in over the weekend and noticed that the driver side sway bar bolt is loose. Very loose.

This is concerning. I go to tighten it up, and it doesn't budge. Acts as if it's already as tight as can be, and it's looking at me like "WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO GO?"

But it's loose. Could be what's been causing my front "click" noise when I move from Park to Drive and Drive to Reverse.

Any suggestions?

I just went to autozone/oreillys wherever and got a new bushings and bolts kit. pretty inexpensive. Or, you can spend like 30 bucks on urethane kit from energy suspension. Either way, it's probably just time for some new rubber

I'd like to revive this thread and pose another question:

I'm finally getting around to putting these on. I had to take a grinder to the old bolt because the nut was seized and stripped. The new kit comes with the same amount of rubber "stoppers" as the factory setup had. Factory setup:

New setup:

The problem I'm having is that I can't fit the third rubber stopper into the new setup. From the ground up, you have the one on the bottom, the one above that, then this third one I can't get in under the sway bar, and the fourth one above the sway bar. I can't compress the rubber enough to squeeze it onto the bolt. The washer directly under the sway bar itself had to get crammed in there; I'm not sure how to fit this other rubber piece in.

1. Suggestions?
2. If I can't get it in, what would the consequences be of driving without it?

Update: Never mind! I realized that the two lower rubber pieces are the same size, and the two upper pieces are thinner. I just had to mix n' match ;) Crisis averted.

It has been so long since I have had a front sway bar ( even longer for the rear) that I forget what it was like when I had them.

I can't get mine to hold together. With a heavy roof load (kayaks). Or extensive offroading. My driving is also very spirited. I literally go thru sway bushings every 3 months. MOOG are the most worthless bushings ever they shred almost instantly. I've tried a few brands. Only two the seem to last are OEM and energy suspension. OEM hardware was the only thing I could get to last as well. Just a heads up.
