East Coast Xterra Challenge (ECXC) 2023 Recap:

Isn’t it funny how it takes several months to plan an event, and then when the day of the event arrives, it’s over within a blink of an eye! That’s what happened at the East Coast Xterra Challenge this year!
The East Coast Xterra Challenge (ECXC) 2023, hosted by The North East Xterra Club (#NEXterra @NEXterra), was held this July at two wheeling locations - Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA) in Coal Township, PA and at Rausch Creek Offroad Park in Tremont, PA. Thank you to our 50+ attendees, event staff, organizers, and especially to our sponsors this year!
This year’s event was held over three days, starting with Thursday wheeling at AOAA. The trails at AOAA are both challenging and exciting for all levels of experience, allowing attendees to have an awesome day testing both themselves and their Xterras.
Friday found us at Rausch Creek, where in addition to another full day of wheeling, the Xterra Competition also took place. The participants in the competition were required to traverse a specially prepared trail. The winner is determined by the driver who completes the course in the least amount of time and with the least amount of penalty points. There were eight competitors this year, with Chris Botto (@bottobro) claiming ultimate victory. A great day on the trails was capped off by the #Notajeep dinner, with great food, company & an amazing raffle.
The final day of wheeling (Saturday) found us back at Rausch Creek where attendees yet again challenged themselves on some of the best offroad trails in the north east. Later that evening we wrapped up the event with the ECXC BBQ dinner and grand raffle. A huge shout out goes to our many repeat sponsors and new sponsors for not only making a phenomenal raffle possible, but for also supporting our hobby.
Make sure to mark your calendars for next year’s ECXC-2024, which is scheduled for July 11, 12, 13, 2024. We made a big announcement during the Saturday night dinner - starting in 2024, all Nissan vehicles are welcome to join this event!
