Center console sensor relocation

I'm looking to see if I can relocate the sensor under the center console. Now I think it may be part of the airbag deployment stuff, so already I don't want to tamper with it, but I'm trying to make just enough room for a cb to slide into the arm rest vertically.

All the airbag stuff has yellow cable wrap around it. It looks like in all gens the SRS Computer is located under the armrest between the front seats.

Most all Nissans have the airbag diagnostic unit there...I would not mess with it.
