    Air intake rubber thingies.....

Well, new rubbers are on. The ones I got look good and fit...but all four new hose clamps are the same size, and one of them wouldn’t fit, just a shy too short so I had to re use one of the old ones.

Just a rant about issues with my 07... lol

Looks like local parts store might have what I need... but for the hell of it, til I get there, I kinda made a temporary one out of a piece of an old windshield wiper blade... worked great so far for the last several starts! Lol

    Air intake rubber thingies.....

I like your way of thinking! The three times I’ve checked so far I’m averaging between 16-17 mpg, all local driving, no highway. I guess it would also explain why I thought I heard the slight sound of what I thought was sucking air at times......

    Air intake rubber thingies.....

So after getting everything wrapped up from changing the radiator today... I noticed the rubber hose for the air intake, the one on the passenger side is cracked in two places. So orderd both today... just wondering though.. any chance that one being cracked would affect mpg at all? Maybe I’ll...

Radiator replacement, manual vs auto trans?

Well filled most of it up through the radiator cap, then ended up just filling the “overflow” to the full line and running the engine to temp, them letting it cool a few times til it stopped sucking all the coolant in.. ran it around several times today and the level is now staying about half...

Well all parts changed so far appeared to be factory... I’m guessing it was time for them to go south....when I bought it, I was shocked how nice the interior was, not even sure the back seats were ever sat in.... good service records from the buyer, but he only had it three years....not sure of...

Radiator replacement, manual vs auto trans?

Now, is it correct that not seeing coolant at the cap on the radiator is normal when full? That the full level on the overflow is the one to go by when checking? I have heard that mentioned on YouTube garage.

Radiator replacement, manual vs auto trans?

I believe your right... found some info bout it.....as of now I am trying to fill the coolant..I guess no burping funnel needed on these.... from what I’m seeing just keep bringing the temp up... filling the overflow til it fills itself? Only ever did one other radiator change before, and Not...

Radiator replacement, manual vs auto trans?

Why does the cap ON the radiator not have a spring system, but the one on the overflow does?

Radiator replacement, manual vs auto trans?

QUESTION... what about closing off the connections for the transmission lines? Kinda feel like leaving the open might let moisture in there and cause corrosion to start.....wondering what’s easiest to get to use for it?

Radiator replacement, manual vs auto trans?

Ok, I just picked one up from NAPA , odd, the exact same part number has almost a $50 price difference depending on if you look it up under a 2007 or a 2008......

Radiator replacement, manual vs auto trans?

I’ve got an 07 S, been searching for a new radiator, most of what I’m finding is for an auto trans, mine is a manual. I have seen one or two, but the price on them was three times more.. yet most places list the “auto trans” rad as an exact fit? Can I use the auto radiator without issue?
