I appreciate the response. it drives fine but for no obvious reason there is a loss in power. an intermittent loss of power. almost as though it is starving for fuel. but without the leaning out symptoms and the resulting backfire through intake which happens when too much air and not enough...

do you have spark? yes? next observe rotation of rotor in distributor. then triple check plugs wires are correct. if after all this, use just a squirt of starting fluid while someone cranks starter. if it tries to run, then it is probably fuel related. hope that steers you in good direction
