It would make more sense to chop the cab than try to shoehorn on a frontier body(unless your talking standard cab). If you want the front end its a bolt on swap.

lol yea not feeling the chopped look, seen a few guys do it and it is not to my liking. The other option is to sell this x and the buy a frontier and do another diesel conversion on it.

What? What? What? I have a feeling you're one of those people that always need a project. I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling your x. Then you can be the first to swap a frontier. Kudos man kudos!

It would be doable if you stretched the wheelbase & that would be pretty simple. Remove the stock x springs and use the stock front hanger for a set of 63" chevys & move you rear hanger. That would by you something around a 4-6" strech if I remember right plus they flex better than any X pack lift springs or not.

I guess it really shouldn't matter for me... the turbo spool is louder then the tires. KM2's not loud... guess I should look into that

also look up at my previous post

Just caught up on the progress of your build. You have amazing engineering skills to be able to pull of the diesel swap flawlessly. Inspection is what would make me cringe, but apparently you know your stuff. Congratulations and good luck with the Frontier body swap/sale and purchase of a Frontier. I'm sure it will be a more amazing transformation.

BTW I love the sound of your diesel in the videos.

That when I got to the top I couldn't see where my wheels were headed so that is my defense :D . Thank you Abuse, I tend to have better attention to detail on doing another swap after the doing the first.

You should hear it in person. ;)

I am trying Tim, it is hard to find other people to explore with let alone other xterra guys in my area. It is really hard to try to coordinate with other members since we are all spread apart in texas. I guess we both need to hit up a major event like GONEMoab.

Or NXM...lol I'd love to go to GONE but in reality it's just really to far for me. NXM is a 10 hour drive and I can't see driving to an event that would take me more than a day. I wouldn't mind going and hitching a ride though... :D

I have considered both to be honest. I think it would be very possible for me to do both, but I want to save for both lockers before any of them. So I will be looking at next year. You can thank Jason, Johann, Derrick, and the toyota guys (ya I said it) I met for causing me to really try to make time to make it to the big events.

I completely understand. No reason not to be fully prepaired for either spot. I wish I had more done to my X before I go next month but I'll have a blast regardless. I'm in the same boat here in FL. There aren't alot of people to wheel with and there there is finding the time with 2 kids.

loving the progress, also, I'll back up the previous statement on KM2's, I've got a set and my stock exhaust is almost louder than the tires are....
