1st chok tires, and lift front end.

2nd remove wheel, and hub assembly. You need access to the c-clip on the splined portion of the shaft.

3rd remove upper ball joint.

4th remove the 6, 12mm bolts securing the assembly to the front diff, a 3/8 impact works exceedingly well for this with an extension. (some people including myself) have been able to get the axle out without having to take off tne tierod end to have enough room.

Remember to use threadlock on the bolts holding the axle to the diff, and dont go crazy with the air tools when tightening the them, they are pretty small and will snap if you over tightem them too much.

5th step, reassemble in the oposite order. And check the bolts one last time before the tire goes back on.
