Looks good. What sort of lighting have you got going on there. Looks like LED bars in the mouth bumper and above the roof. Good stuff!

Thanks! Yup, Totron LED light bars. Have 6 more waiting to go on, but am waiting to resolve an issue for the mounting of the other 40", and am working on a project involving all of them before they get installed. In total, two 40"(forward facing roof), one 30"(bumper mouth), one 20"(rear facing roof), and four 6"(side alley roof). Lots of light!

Thanks everyone!

The herculiner job looks nice. Did you have that in Moab, I just don't remember seeing it?

Yup I did....been on there since last summer, its just really hard to notice without being right on top of it.

30" in the bumper....

Crazy or awesome? Lol!

Everything I do has to be unique, otherwise there is just no point in doing the same thing everyone else does.

What trails do you usually hit up in MN? Looks good so far!

Not a whole lot yet actually. I haven't ventured to Appleton or the Iron Range yet cause I'm not too sure the truck can take it without being lifted. I have hit the Gandy Dancer and explored a few State Forests. Actually that "As she sits now" picture was taken on Gandy Dancer on Saturday. Hell, the mud is still on her too....lol!

Yes! That looks way better than all the chrome plastic. I must know your secrets!

First your have to be willing to take apart your light bars, and most likely void any warranty you may have.

Then you have to be prepared to possibly replace the hardware that holds the chrome plastic pieces. Some of my bars, even tho their all one brand had plated cap head screws that once forcefully removed were no longer usable. The rest of my bars used plated Phillips screws for some reason.

Luckily I had some 3x18mm black cap head screws sitting around that are a perfect match. Since they're black I figured I would just replace all of those screws, 77 in total, so I ordered a box of 100 from mcmaster-carr for $10. This info might qualify for your light bars, but I cannot say.

Otherwise, the secret is simple....plastidip....just not the spray.

Yeah someone could, I wouldn't tho. That would reduce light output, kinda negates the purpose of having the light bar then.

I was just thinking enough to notice but not enough to really negate light output.

My rear taillights are tinted just enough to notice but no where close to reducing light output.

Yes scientifically I am reducing it, but I mean it to the point of very little

O1C. You painted the bezels between the reflector wells, not the glass

Here is a better idea...

My tails are also tinted, two coats, my reverse lights are unusable, literally.

I'm just saying I wouldn't do it personally.

Really liking the look of the stealthed LEDs might do that with mine

I just got all of them mounted recently onto my roof rack, finishing the wiring this weekend. Yeah, people would be wise not to mess with me....lol!

Here is all of them post stealthing...

I wonder how hot it gets in there? If the dip will hold up, Creepy should be able to make a pattern and you tell him how many LEDs and do it with vinyl. Vinyl should hold up at least as well as dip.

Woooooooooowwwwww LEDs! Can't wait to see that all hooked up

Soon! Very soon!

Holy. gobble. That's beautiful.

Now I have to do that to mine...

I literally laughed when I read your post. The only time where I have been tempted to quote a post.

Do it up....not hard, but very time consuming.

I wouldn't imagine it getting very hot at all. You gotta keep in mind that the entire bar is a massive set of aluminum cooling fins. We hit record temps this week and while sitting directly in the sun all day the bars were still cool. Otherwise it helps that plastidip has a boiling point of +285°F, typically good from -30°F to 200°F.

It could be possible with vinyl, that on the other hand is attached with adhesive which could peel if it got hot.

I'm having a hard time deciding which bars to get. Maybe I should just do like you did and get ALL of them.

Go for it, Totron GB is going on right now. All of them for the price of one Rigid 40".

When in doubt.....buy them out

I like it! I need to switch to LEDs

So much more light for the amperage. Do it up. All of mine only take 64 amps total for almost 74,000 lumen. Almost 53,000 of those will be blasting out of the front of my truck. For comparison, typically headlight bulbs put out maybe 1500 lumen, and my 55w HID projector bulbs put out over 5000 lumen.

So, considering around 63,000 lumen, we're talking insane amounts of light, like daylight bright(which is rated at 32,000-100,000 lumen). I haven't even had both 40" and the 30" running at the same time, just one 40" and the 30" was crazy bright, I can't even imagine all three.

That's just...it's...awesome doesn't really cover it. All I can say is if you can't see something, it isn't there. You could have people stand in front of you and save them some money on x-rays with that setup.

Those first two night shots seem to show a dark spot starting near your front driver's side wheel and moving away from the truck. Probably need to get some more lights to handle that.
