Hey Kirk,
Yeh we had a great day, the first trail was really rocky with lots of trees climbing up the Mountain, the second trail was the exact opposite as we were above tree line. All in all it was a great day although it rained with a little hail for about an hour..

What cities are you guys near? When we go to Colorado its always to the southern part of the state near Alamosa, but this area is gorgeous.

Those trails are near Empire (on the way to Winter Park) - pretty much due west of Denver. There are great trails throughout the state, though. There was a run to Medano Pass last week that is near Alamosa and has one end at the Great Sand Dunes.

Most of this group lives in the Boulder/Broomfield area.. This particular group of trail's is near the Town of Empire, which is West of Denver about 30 to 40min.. There's also some great wheelin around the ski areas of Keystone and Breckenridge..

Since its your hometown stomping grounds any trail recommendations for a out of towner like myself? Will be driving thru on my way to Telluride, CO this weekend wouldn't mind a trail or two near Boulder, Vail, or Breckenridge.

Hey there, what day are you coming through Denver? I can try and setup a run, what kind of trails do you want to do ie in trees above timberline and how difficult.. Depending on the day your available ill try and join you.. Great trails around the Boulder Area and Breckenridge..
