What do people think of this 4runner

Hello all,

My brother is getting ready to be stationed in Hawaii and is looking for a play toy while there. He sent me this link and asked my thoughts but I am not as mechanically literate as he thinks I am. What are peoples thoughts on this vehicle http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/cto/2819693917.html

The old 4Runners are sweet and that year is one I'd purchase. With 200k on the dial, the $7k seems a bit much; but not to far off.

I was thinking 7k is a bit high, but then again in hawaii Its probably a deal... Id jump on it

Yeah, it seems high because it's in Hawaii. Plus all the top end of the engine is newly rebuilt. Should be good to go for another 100k easy. All in all, not a bad deal.

If I were him I would jump on that, for island prices that is pretty fair, locked at both ends, and geared to match with 35s, is pretty hard to beat.

Late to the thread, thats a bad yota, you can go many many miles with a properly maintaned 22re. There was a dude on yotatech years ago who had over 400k on his daily driven 22re. Im sure he is over 500 k by now. Id jump on that
